Additional information
Enlisted 1 July 1916. Posted to the New Zealand Mounted Rifle Bde Training Regiment and Base Depot 27 December 1916. From 22 January 1917 to 12 March 1917 he was detached to the New Zealand Mounted Rifle Bde at El Arish. Posted to the Rarotongan Company 7 April 1917 and served with 10th Heavy Battery Royal Artillery from 5 October 1917 to 9 November 1917. Embarked for New Zealand on SS Malta 14 December 1918 and discharged 20 March 1919.
