Additional information
Enlisted 1st July 1916 in Rarotonga. The New Zealand Mounted Rifle Bde Training and Base Depot was detached to the New Zealand Mounted Rifle Brigade at El Arish for a period of time from 22 January 1917.
Posted to the Rarotongan Company on 31 July 1917 and detached to 10th Heavy Battery Royal Artillery from 5 October 1917 to 9 November 1917. Reported as dangerously ill with malaria 4 September 1918 and evaluated to 33rd Casualty Clearing Station, Cairo and then transferred to 2nd General Hospital 23 September 1918. Returned as an invalid on SS Malta. Discharged 20 March 1919.
