Additional information
Enlisted 27 September 1915 in Rarotonga. Disembarked SS Navua at Suez 15 March 1916. Embarked for France 9 April 1916 and served in France with the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion, then transferred to the Rarotongan Company on 14 January 1918 and embarked for Egypt 20 January 1918. Posted to the Rarotongan Company 15 February 1918 and was admitted to the 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital 22 February 1918 to 11 April 1918 with adenitis (a sign of infection usually caused by bacteria). On 11 July 1918 he embarked on HMT Port Darwin for New Zealand. Admitted to Devonport Convalescent Home 29 August 1918. Discharged due to ill health on 2 October 1918.
