Attested 4 February 1918 in Rarotonga and enlisted 12 March 1918 at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand. Disembarked at Suez 4 August 1918 and posted to the Rarotongan Company 18 September 1918. Admitted to the 33rd Casualty Clearing Station at Haifa 21 November to 26 November 1918 with Malaria. Embarked for New Zealand on SS Malta 14 December 1918 and discharged 20 March 1919.
The wrong service number (60741) is recorded on the headstone. 60741 is the service number of Pte Tuakanaiti TUIKAA (aka Tuikaa TUAKANAITI). These two soldiers are also listed on the Cook Islands RSA Roll of Honour board at the RSA Nikao Rarotonga with the same service number (60741).
