Enlisted 12 March 1918 at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand and embarked at Wellington on SS Manuka 16 June 1918. Disembarked per SS Port Lyttleton at Suez 4 August 1918 and posted to the Rarotongan Company. Admitted sick at Moascar 26 November 1918. Embarked for New Zealand on SS Malta 14 December 1918 and discharged 20 March 1919.
