Additional information
New Zealand permanent soldier at Trentham Camp in 1917. Transferred to the NZEF and posted to Narrow Neck Military Training Camp to train the 3rd Rarotongan Contingent. He had previous service in South African War in 1st Battalion Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders and in 1900 he enlisted in the Johannesburg Foot Police until 1912. Posted to Rarotongan Company 4 August 1918 as Company Sergeant Major and returned on SS Malta. Promoted to Warrant Officer Class-I in 1920 and medically discharged from the New Zealand Forces in 1931.
